Online Activity How does the information we see affect our opinions and behaviours? Students in this polarized newsfeed activity are asked to make an important decision, after reading up on the issue on social media. It’s only after casting their ballots, they realize they did not all see the same information.
Online Activity Fact or Opinion? This online game reviews key questions to help students distinguish between fact and opinion. Students gain practice applying what they’ve learned to a series of statements in an engaging interactive format.
Online Activity Can you spot ‘fake news’? Have fun finding the facts with this social media-emulating game that helps students learn and practice quick checks for verifying sources, claims, and photos.
Media Activity This framework-based activity allows students to use their visual and digital literacy skills in tandem. By working through the series of questions, students will develop everyday fact-checking skills and build a habit of analyzing images in general.
